Soap and Glory have done it again with their 'Sugar Crush' body scrub, which promises to make your skin glow. Amazingly their claims aren't far from the real results. I tend to make my own because I like to know what's in the products I'm using, and frankly it's cheaper to make it myself, but Soap & Glory have made a consumer out of me.

It is an amazing scrub with real particles and scrubby 'bits', which you can see and feel working.

Almond oil, sweet lime and the other ingredients are quite visible in the scrub, and while I know that there are a host of other ingredients involved in the making of this exfoliator, I am less fazed by the non-organic ingredients. Overall it is an absolute joy to use and the fact that it does have some natural ingredients is enough for me.

Unlike a lot of exfoliants which promise exotic ingredients with micro grains to gently scrub the skin. I don't want gentle, I like visible, tangible results, and while the scrub certainly isn't abraisive, there is a palpable difference in the softness of my skin before and after using the exfoliator.

The scrub does more than what it advertises because it also perfumes your skin with an incredibly fruity scent and leaves it moisturised - I don't mean a greasy film like a lot of scrubs, but a light moisturised oil, which means you don't need to use any rich skin softening products post-shower.

I only use it on special occasions, when my legs will be 'out', or when I'm on holiday because it is a fantastic way to get rid of scaly skin, but also moisturise sunkissed limbs and give you a bit of a glow. At £7.00 for 300ml (only sold in Boots), I consider it one of my more luxurious bath products, and thankfully, a little goes a long way.

I love that it doubles as a two in one moisturiser and skin-scrubber, but mostly it's the fact that using sugar crush is like being in a spa. It looks like a quality product, the scrub doesn't fall apart in your hands, but holds together and sloughs off dead skin with aplomb, and one 'scoop' is enough for your whole body. Wonderful.

For glowing, smooth, and truly silky skin, sugar crush is one of the best body exfoliators on the market. With an irresistible scent and aesthetic value to boot, it makes a great gift for all who lust after pretty products, and of course, smooth skin.
