SHUTTER|bag are a small Australian company that started in late 2010, and they make camera bags for shutterbugs. The Safari is one of their current bags, it's not only a fantastic camera bag, but it's a multi-purpose bag that can be used for any occasion.

I'd been lusting for one for just over a year when I finally got the opportunity to purchase my own. Being a university and TAFE student who also always carries around her SLR, I've had a problem with most regular handbags that after only about a week the straps begin to pull and fray. I never have enough room, and my bag ends up one giant mess.

Inside the Safari there are 5 main compartments. The large one at the bag is big enough to fit a 15" Laptop, and the others are ideal for a camera body and various lenses. I usually keep my camera and a lens in two of the compartments, and then have two compartments that are used for my wallet and a water bottle. You'll also find a couple of pockets and zipped compartments inside so you can slip in things like your phone, iPod or lipbalm.

The four smaller compartments can actually be completely removed, so you can adjust the number and size of compartments to suit whatever you need to carry on a day to day basis.

The inside is padded, which also helps protect things like your camera and laptop, without needing extra cases.

There's also plenty of storage on the outside, with three zipped pockets on the front, one on the back, and lens cap holder that you can use for anything else (I put my business card holder inside). There's so much storage, but a bit like Mary Poppins' bag, the Safari fits it all in without looking bulky.

The difference between the Safari and similarly-sized bags, is the fact that the Safari is designed to handle the weight. Which has completely solved my problem with frayed and broken handles and shoulder straps. The Safari even comes with a shoulder pad to make sure it's more comfortable.

I'm even more in love with the safari now that it's arrived. It's as good looking as it is practical. The Safari comes in purple as well, fingers crossed there will be more colours in the future.
