I'm not a fan of protein bars, or snack bars, or things of that nature, when the real thing is so much better. However, I was given a Pulsin', vegan, dairy, gluten, soya free bar recently by my friend who was simply too full to finish the bar herself.
Non-GMO, and no nasties either, the protein bar was surprisingly delicious. It states being free of nasties, and you can truly taste the difference. This bar has a low glycamic index, and is the most natural I've seen on the market.
It isn't marketed at the sports-fanatics, but those who are interested in a healthier lifestyle - me.
The protein bar contains agave syrup, almonds, rice protein, and cocoa butter amongst the other natural ingredients.
Chewy, and not too dense I liked it. The protein bar had more of a fudge-like consistency, which made it taste more indulgent than it really was.
I was surprised at how good the bar was because I normally avoid such things. Generally, I view protein powders and bars with disdain because they are aimed at the lazy/busy. That said, this bar aided my headache, and kept my hunger at bay when I chowed down because I'd worked through my lunch.
You can buy these bars either on Amazon, via their website, or if you're based in the UK at any of their retailers. My friend bought hers from Kitchen Garden Cafe in King's Heath.
