I have been using a number of other natural conditioners simply because the Origins one is't always readily-available (sometimes it is out of stock - probably because it's so good). This year I received it again as a Christmas present, and I can honestly say it's one of the best hair conditioners I've used.
The fragrance comes from essential oils. I would never have considered pears as they key ingredient in hair conditioner, but fruit oils are highly moisturising - even stone fruits.
The fragrance is unreal - it smells so good - each time I use it people always comment on how 'gorgeous' my barnet smells.
I used it after shampooing, so on damp hair - the last time I used it. I let it sink in for about 30 minutes, and usually when I apply conditioner to damp hair and tie it up, it is less than pretty. The result can be either of two evils; there may be white blobs of the conditioner left over which have not sunk in, or my hair is a bit limp. However, I have never experienced results like this.
The curl definition is unbeatable, as my hair dried my curls were defined, soft, held their shape, but it was also malleable, so I could style it as desired.
I recommend it for all who have tight curls. Buy it from Selfridges, or via their website, and it will the best conditioners you've ever used.
