Pop corn is my new favourite snack, specifically Metcalfe's 'skinny topcorn'. Low in fat and naturally high in fibre, in recent months it has become more than something I enjoy at the cinema.
Instead of salt or sweet as two separate flavours, Metcalfe's combines both for a totally original flavour. Sweet 'n Salt is the classic one, but the new Heat 'n Sweet chilli flavour is a completely new (and rather addictive), combination.
The spice adds another dimension: sweet and heat is exactly what it is. Sweet, salty, spicy, and very light, you can't not enjoy each handful.
Sweet n' Heat is also a very low calorie snack; I wouldn't say I'm weight, but definitely health concious, and the 25g bag I bought was only 112 calories
I bought the snack pack size for 80p from Topshop, but you can find this particular chilli flavour in many convience stores across the UK. Prices vary depending on where you shop, and I just happened to be peckish whilst shopping. In Tesco and Sainsburys an 80g share size is only £1.00, (all varieties), so it's even cheaper than the box you'd buy at the cinema.
In our wonderful make it yourself or find a cheaper alternative age, it seems topcorn will be taking over the snack world, and and I'm all for an an evening in with a dvd, and a bag of spicy corn.
