Macro Organic Pure Honey

An ardent honey lover, I discovered the Macro Oragnic Pure Honey by sheer accident. I like honey and enjoy adding it to my daily consumption of various kinds of foods and drinks. The run of the mill kinds of honey that can be obtained in supermarkets usually contain sugar therefore, diminishing the health factor of honey.

Driven by an urge to find pure organic honey which contains 100% pure honey with no additional artificial sugar, I stumbled upon the Macro Organic Pure Honey, nicely tucked away in one of the shelves dedicated to all sorts of honey, in a Woolworths store.

The back of the jar dictates in clear words that the ingredient is nothing but organic pure honey. The thick, luscious honey tastes sweet, a level of sweetness that does not overwhelm the tastebuds. The lovely texture and the dark golden hue make the honey look highly appealing. This honey can be consumed in myriads of ways.

My morning begins with a tablespoon of honey, scooped right out of the bottle and swallowed slowly savouring every bit of the honey as it slowly slides down my throat. The organic honey instantly boosts my energy level and also contributes towards the strengthening of my immune system. Honey is also a great home remedy for colds, flu and sore throats.

In an attempt to adopt and stick to a healthy diet, I have substituted the sugar in my coffee with a tablespoon of the organic honey. Not only is the coffee free from the harmful effects of the white sugar but is certainly of a more premium quality after the introduction of honey into the coffee. I find that the flavour and goodness of green tea is largely enhanced by a tablespoon of the honey. I also use the honey for cooking which makes an excellent ingredient for various honey-inspired dishes.

I tend to store the honey in my pantry and do not concern myself with preserving it in the fridge. Honey has an almost indefinite shelf life and can remain in the pantry for years without going bad. However, prolonged storage can lead to crystallisation of the honey but this does not make it unsafe to consume. To store honey at its best, ensure that you store it in a cool, dark area and keep it tightly capped after each use.

Priced at $4.89 for a 500g jar, Macro Oragnic Pure Honey can be located in any Woolworths store and is a product of Australia.
