MAC's Mineralize range covers foundation, blusher and eye shadow. Every make up type which can come in a powder, has been given the mineralize treatment by MAC, and turned a good product into something spectacular.
Mineralize eyeshadow is one of a kind. The pigments have been concentrated, and the shadow has natural minerals. Instead of a heavy, cake-like eye shadow, which can cause issues with your eyesight, mineral eye shadows in general are oil, parabens, and fragrance free.
Not to quash my last statement, but I purchased the eye shadow simply because I loved the colours.
I purchased 'Shimmermint', which is a shimmery, pale green. I rarely use silvery eye shadow, but once applied it really makes dark eyes 'pop'.
Generally, I find eye shadows have a low pigment, and take a lot of layering before it builds colour. The mineralize eye shadow, however, once applied, gives a great colour despite its shimmery appearance.
I consider shimmermint a night time shade because of the high shine, but if you're feeling glamorous instead of applying the same amount as you'd wear during the evening, try a little less for a striking day time look.
