We used to have these at work then I discovered them in Wholefoods being sold at ($3.00), for a 500g box.
Delighted, I made a bee line for the tills and took these rough-cut cubes of sugar home.
You might think me strange, but I have a thing about raw, natural sugar. Then being rough-cut helps. I don't like my food too-perfect, it makes it feel (and usually taste), suspiciously plastic.
La Perruche, however, focus on sugar, in it's natural form. The French company crystalise the cubes to create easy-to-add sweetness to hot drinks. It works incredibly well with coffee, but I like it in my cup of tea.
