Established in 1898, IXL is a veritable brand which has been regaling Australians with premium quality jams for decades. I recently tried their Blackberry fruit spread and was quite impressed.
IXL Blackberry jam has a mild, berry aroma. The thick, gluey jelly has a slight tangy flavour. The jam can be enjoyed with toasts or can just be sampled on its own. The list of ingredients includes amongst other things water, blackberries, sugar, gelling agent, preservatives and water. With 50% less sugar than regular jams, this jam makes an ideal choice for brekky for the entire family.
Valued at $2.49, a 210g jar of Blackberry jam lasts a few weeks. The jam is also available in 600g jars.
Once the seal is broken, the jar should be refrigerated for appropriate preservation. Stocked with the jams and spreads in the supermarkets, this jam will satiate the whole family. Other varieties are available including breakfast marmalade, strawberry jam and so forth. IXL is a registered trademark of SPC Ardmona. IXL Blackberry jam is made in Australia from local and imported ingredients
