The range of body butters produced by Fennel Cosmetics includes a huge variety of different scents, from strawberry and peach to sandalwood and pomegranate. I can imagine almost everyone would be able to find something to suit their fancy.
I have the Olive Oil, Honey Nut and Shea body butters
Each body butter claims to be rich and super moisturising, but a closer look at the labels on the three I own suggests they may have slightly different purposes.
Fennel Honey Nut Body Butter
My Fennel Honey Nut Body Butter includes nut butters, macadamia oil and vitamin E. The honey products within are supposed to ensure skin will be left feeling soft and smooth.
Fennel Olive Oil Body Butter
The Olive Oil Body Butter uses a combination of shea butter and olive oil to relieve dry skin.
Fennel Shea Body Butter
Fennel's Shea Body Butter claims to be super creamy and to quickly penetrate the skin in order to protect, nourish and moisturise.
Ultimately, I think all the body butters are pretty similar: they'll moisturise and soften your skin. Mine is usualy very dry and I moisturise morning and night. Using these products, I found it doesn’t dry out, no matter which one I use.
All of the body butters have a creaminess than makes them pretty easy to rub in, though they don't absorb immediately. I found the Shea Butter to be the thickest. You can also apply quite a bit at once and spread it around, though you shouldn't need to as a little goes a long way.
Each product is 200 grams in size and quite cheap (they should cost you less than $10.00). I can't really distinguish between them too much and if I were to buy them again, I would base my decision entirely on the scents (so far Honey Nut is my favourite, with Shea a close second, but there are so many to sample I'd probably end up trying a different one each time).
Before I came across these body butters Fennel Cosmetics wasn't a brand I was familiar with. I've since discovered that the company is based in Thailand and it produces a whole range of cosmetic and skin care products.
I think the only thing that would stand in the way of me purchasing these products again is the fact I might prefer to support an Australian brand.
The products come in colourful containers that reflect the colour of the body butter inside
